Modernized and Sustainable Community Based Agriculture
LOCIFU educates farmers to use manure and fertilizers in order to increase on the production of crops to get enough food and the surplus for sale. We have been putting much emphasis on Irish potatoes and banana plantations.
LOCIFU works to prepare nursery beds for production of seedlings of crops like coffee, tobacco, trees, in different varieties. RUFODE has been supporting farmers in animal rearing, especially goats, pigs and cows to produce milk and manure for their fields to enrich their soils and also to sell them and boost their livelihoods.
LOCIFU has worked to ensure that farmers also carry out in door farming activities like mushroom growing to improve on people’s diet and get extra income.
